I will only very very rarely connect to the Internet anyways. I don't have virus protection yet, and I really rather not use it because it bogs down the cpu, and just generally causes problems.
Ive heard antivirus software isn't much help, because thesee types of programs always pull up the 'unverified publisher/might harm your computer' warning anyhow. I don't want to muck up the best computer I've ever owned, so I'm pretry nervous. I'm only planning to download the highly recommend freeware, and I was wondering.has anyone experienced any problems picking up malware from these sites?
It looks like these recommend sites link you to the freeware creaters home sites for the software.and I'm not sure which ones if any I can trust. It's staying completely offline except to download and update my software(from official trusted sites only). I just bought a brand new bad mamajamma computer strictly for music production. Anyone have any tips on downloading freeware vsts? I've heard that sites like bedroom producers blog, kvr,, are safe.but I need to be 100% sure(if that's even possible I mean).
